Paris Photo 2020 fällt aus

Die Veranstalter schreiben:

Paris, September 25, 2020 - Following the announcement by the French government on September 23, 2020, limiting capacity at major events to 1,000 people, compared to 5,000 previously, Paris Photo has been forced to cancel the fair scheduled for November 12 to 15, 2020.

The 24th edition will be postponed to November 11 to 14, 2021, when it will open at the newly constructed Grand Palais Éphémère on the Champ de Mars.

As the leading international fair dedicated to the photographic medium, and a must-attend event for professionals, collectors and enthusiasts alike, Paris Photo had chosen to reimagine its format for this very particular year due to health and international travel constraints.

Florence Bourgeois, Director of Paris Photo said: "We have had numerous exchanges with our exhibitors, visitors, collectors and partners over the last few days, all of whom showed an immense enthusiasm for Paris Photo to go ahead this year. We were strongly motivated and supported in our efforts to forge ahead with determination and flexibility to ensure the greatest possible safety for all. However, this latest government measure leaves us no choice. We have made this decision to cancel with profound regret, but with a sense of responsibility towards all involved. We thank the members of the entire ecosystem who have given us their support and trust throughout these difficult times.”

Paris Photo invites the worldwide community of fine art photography to the Grand Palais Éphémère in 2021.
